Wings of Dreams Aviation Museum
Warbird Restoration - Aerospace Education
The mission of Wings of Dreams, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is to preserve the legacy of pioneer aviatiors, courageous combat airmen and often unrecognized service of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). Using exhibits, programs, workshops, symposiums and air shows, Wings of Dreams will remind and enlighten the public, particularly younger generations, of the significant events of World War II, the greatest conflict in human history, and showcase the colorful chapters of aviation history and America’s space program.
Wings of Dreams will be located on 6.5 acres at the end of Runway 5 at Keystone Heights Airport, formerly Keystone Army Airfield, a World War II Army Air Corps air base, tasked with training pilots for the Normandy Invasion. Wings of Dreams will revive the airport’s rich wartime history, much of which is unknown or forgotten.
Wings of Dreams will restore and display vintage aircraft and warbirds, many to flying condition, and serve as a repository for memorabilia and artifacts from World War II, other military conflicts, pioneer aviators and the space program to fulfill its mission to educate and preserve this part of America’s unique heritage for future generations.
